Refresher courses are available for registered pharmacists. Practicing pharmacy is very complex profession with requirement of updated knowledge on new and banned drugs, drug interactions and side effects. Pharmacist plays an important role in community health care and providing information on medications to patients.
To help pharmacist to acquire knowledge of recent trends, Gujarat State Pharmacy Council has started Refresher Courses, which is mandatory for all registered pharmacists and is required for renewal of existing registration.
Currently, the refresher courses are organized by various pharmacy colleges with financial assistance and guidance of Gujarat State Pharmacy Council.
The pharmacists are required to log in their account in the website and apply for the refresher couse online.The participants will be able to join various sessions through zoom links provided in their account in the website.
An objective test will be conducted online in the end of the two day refresher course training program and the participants will be given certificate for attending Refresher Course from GSPC. Course certificate will be given only to those participants who have successfully completed course and objective test with minimum passing criteria.

The candidates with license expiring in December 2024 are eligible to pursue the Refresher Course.
The candidates whose license expired till December 2023 have to apply for re-entry. Candidates applying for re-entry are not required to pursue the Refresher Course. Procedure for re-entry needs to be followed.
The candidates whose license expiring after December 2024 are not eligible to pursue the Refresher Course till December 2024. Registration link to attend the Refresher Course shall be opened in respective candidate’s profile after December 2024.
